Tinkerbell Tutorial w/ Special Guest

Amerie is always so excited when she sees herself in my videos. As mother/daughter bonding time, I thought I would do her makeup and as a bonus to her, make her the star of a video. We had so much fun doing this. Amerie loved the look and of course loves dressing up. She is only five and this is the ONLY time she is able to wear makeup (Halloween time)

After I had finished her makeup I realized there were things I would have done differently for Halloween night, since this was just a rough draft.

*Before I applied the green base (NYX Jumbo Eye shadow pencil in Horse Radish) I would apply yellow or gold (Honey) to the inner eye area. I noticed the green was just too much and overpowered the look a bit. You want to use a lighter color in the inner eye area to open up the eye.

*Also when I applied the color around the temples, instead of the gold, pink and copper I would just use the shimmery pink (Scratch). The gold (Honey) mixed with the copper (Shag) seemed to darker that area too much and almost looked a bit dirty.

*For the lower lash line I would not have taken the green under, I would have liked to use the shimmery pink (Scratch) to lighten the area since Amerie has young and little eyes! =D

As far as changes go, that’s all I would have done different. Thanks for reading this blog! Come back next time!
